DhikrGPT Privacy Policy

DhikrGPT is an independent Chrome extension by Simal Adenwala. It helps you practice dhikr while waiting for ChatGPT. It is not affiliated with OpenAI or Google.

What the extension uses

DhikrGPT runs on chatgpt.com. It checks generation controls and briefly compares visible assistant answer text in browser memory to detect when a readable answer starts. This text is never saved to extension storage or sent to us or another service. It does not read your prompts for its features.

Data kept on your device

Chrome local extension storage holds your settings, interaction mode, display preference, pace, daily appearance limit, pause date, completed repetition counts, unfinished sequence progress, and panel position. Daily and weekly counts are calculated using your local date. No account is required. This data is not uploaded by DhikrGPT and is not synced by the extension.

Sharing and network requests

The extension has no analytics, advertising, tracking, remote code, or external network requests. We do not receive, sell, or share your ChatGPT conversation content or your extension activity.

Email feedback

Settings displays our email address. Clicking it opens your configured email app; copying it only copies the address. If you choose to send feedback, we receive your email address and whatever content you send. Your email provider processes that message under its own privacy policy. We use feedback to reply and improve the extension; we do not sell it.

Your choices and deletion

You can disable automatic appearances, pause for the day, adjust daily limits, reset the displayed weekly counter, or uninstall DhikrGPT. Uninstalling removes its local extension storage. Contact us to request deletion of feedback emails we received.

Permissions

The storage permission saves settings and progress locally. Access to chatgpt.com lets the extension display its panel and detect generation and the start of readable answers. It does not request microphone, camera, location, or broad access to other websites.
